whoah, its been awhile. I was writing a post last thursday before i left for the weekend, but then my ride got her before i was finished... so all is lost.
Over the weekend i went to the NCNCUCC annual meeting at asilomar, which is my churchs conference, where all the churches in nor cal meet up and we vote on stuff. This time we voted to oppose the upholding of prop 8 because we support equality for all people, as well as supporting diversity education in schools, especially to focus on education about LGBT families so bullying stops and we no longer have disproportionate number of suicides in the gay community of youth. The meeting was great, and i met some really inspirational people. Our ministers were talking about this economic crisis, but how we are still the rich man of the world, and what does that mean? how do we acknowledge that and live in a way that supports justice for all people, and my thought on that is over throw capitalism. I was speaking to a group of adults about this and they were like "tell it sister!" hahaha it was great. This guy named Tim from our national coliltion of LGBT affairs came and talked about biblical self defense, we looked at all the scriptures in the bible that the conservatives and evangelicals use to say that being gay is wrong, and gay marriage is wrong, and we looked at other ways of interpreting them, which was very easy when put into the context of the whole story in which they come. like the one spot where is says it is "unclean to lie with another man" is in a set of rules for high up jewish rabbis, and in the same set of rules it says you cant wear cloth made from two different fibers, you can eat or touch a pig, you cant eat shell fish, and a ton of other stuff that we do all the time now. Anyways... theres more really interesting stuff, but i wont go into it.
ok, so i saw the new moon trailor, so great! but i also watched last night the clips of kristen stewart at the mtv movie awards, and she was acting like a bitch, thinking she was too cool to be there or something, i mean come on. vanessa hudgens was looking at her like "bitch please your not that cool" hahaha, and i was like yeah vanny, agreed....
so im car shopping and i have my eye on this little white rav4! i want a rav really bad, i really dont want a sedan for some reason, i want something that lifts me up, something i can drive up a mountain in and say "bring it on pot holes!" ya know?
well its back to Spamalot tonight... which is ok. The show is funny and i havent seen all of it yet, but it dosnt touch my soul or anything. im a little surprised that it won best musical actually.
